The History of Tears For Kids
Get to know Roger & Patty
In 2018, Roger and Patty were inspired to bring holiday cheer to families in need after the passing of Jodi Schiffert's son and Tori and Amber's brother, Chris Hausman. Chris left behind 2 beautiful daughters, Elaina and Kinsley. The Christmas after his passing, Roger and Patty suited up as Mr. and Mrs. Claus to hand deliver gifts to his children at their home. Seeing the girls have a sparkle in their eye after such a terrible tragedy, was a beautiful sight to see, considering it was their first Christmas without their father. "Santa's" presence made the day a bit more brighter for everyone.
Roger then had an idea.
He was making a batch of his very potent horseradish. He decided to sell those jars of homemade-horseradish, with the proceeds going to a nonprofit charity, now named Tears For Kids. Contributors thought it was such a good idea that the jars were bringing in upwards of $100.00 each! The charity has grown so much over the years where we are now able to hold major events to benefit families in need.
This holiday season, Roger and Patty suit up as Santa and Mrs. Claus, once again, to hand deliver presents to some of the selected families around Christmas.
What a joy it is to be a part of such an incredible charity, with an inspiring history and backstory.
